it's officially Fall and Summer's 9 months away again. many people here love Summer. but i love Fall. sunny, breezy and cool -- well, at least here in Burlington! Last summer's experience, many are saying, has been the worst in years. heavy rains, lots of it, and near-hurricane winds have been in and out of Ontario during summer so it has never been a true summer really.
i took this photo of Discovery Landing in Spencer Smith Park. it has always been the summer fun destination of the people of Burlington so i guess it is the best place to bid summer goodbye and to welcome fall. after all, when we migrated to Burlington exactly a year ago, Spencer Smith Park was the first ever park we've been to. and it is still one of our favorite destinations.

When a Summer has gone, we that are living in the North, do think about the Summer that was (even sometimes "that was not"). Kind of sentimental.
Yeah, we know, we who are living in Norway.
At least we hope for a normal Winter again.

I love Fall also. It's so pretty and I can stretch my wardrobe farther. :)
