We thought it was unfair for the kids if we would not bring them to the Ribfest... so we went back with them! (Hehehe... at least it's a fine excuse for us to get our second rack of ribs!)
The venue was jammed, packed to the last square foot! Yesterday's lunchtime attendance wasn't nearly a quarter of tonight's pack and the queue to each ribber seemed unending... but hey, that's the fun part of it!
We went there at around 7pm, in time for dinner, and must have gotten our ribs by 8pm already. The dining areas were so filled up that you can see people standing or walking everywhere while nibbling their ribs & corn cobs. We went outside and luckily found ourselves a good spot near the children's playground across the shoreline, just at the back of a concert stage playing Led Zep's and Pete Townshed's and Cheap Trick's -- good ol' rock n roll!
After we finished the whole rack of ribs from Texas' Cowboy BBQ (yesterday we had Blazin' BBQ), off we went to watch Jimmy Young concert -- ol' time R & B Soul from the '60's & '70's ( i think he used to be a member of the great Stylistics). well, he played Earth, Wind & Fire, Commodores, Isaac Hayes, Luther Vandross.... it was worth the ears.
We surely had a great time...
Earlier when we got in....waiting for our ribs from Texas Cowboy....
cob'n ribbin' time!
after dinner burn-out along the shore...
jimmy young's RnB-Soul concert...
on the way back to the parking lot...
